Simply, this remake is very bad; The original was so good, that I even enjoy playing this game eventually, and if you dont download dos box with an old version (which is easy) or look up Zod Launcher, then this is still a good way to play a Classic. The problem with Z - the remake is that it's design- As it seems this game was meant for a tablet or mobile device... This is essentailly a carbon copy of a classic which makes the game fustrating to play and at times laughable, from the non- standard RTS 1 click 1 order nonesense(of which is inconsistent), along with the right click drag to observe the battle field - to the shocking AI that is so dumb that it breaks it's game by getting caught behind bridges and continues to stack there - letting you win. On top of that-the old fave bug for many RTS games: The pathfinding. it is so bad that I am confident that I can order a unit to go to the other side of the screen, and it will get stuck... As someone else mentions, it means you have to hold the unit's hands everwhere, which for a game that is not short on it's 'cheese' through micro, you really dont want to do it... The Former steals from it, the latter gives something back. All in All, Z: the remake is an awful remake, it plays and it does breath like Z - however that is no justificaiton for a 3 star game, +3 stars for actual Z gameplay which is good -1 star for performance issues -2 stars for bugs and bad design . P.S. Gog please release the orignal Dos version! I would buy it for £5 !
