It improves on Hollow Knight in every regard, and is so nuanced and intuitive in such a complete way, while still being challenging and requiring time to master. This is maybe the perfect metroidvania and I imagine many games will try to capture the feeling it gives, even moreso than the number of Hollow Knight copycats.
