Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure

No context without playing original game

As a set of six mini-games of puzzles varying from extremely easy to can you solve it without a walkthrough difficulty. There's so much information tossed around which is completely irrelevant and is never resolved in the story line. Some puzzles thankfully only have to be solved once such as figuring out how to explore the bathroom. Others become a repetitive grind such as getting inside the bank. Apparently there's a bit of backstory from the original game about the bear pillows, a clown, a rather reclusive proprietor of a violin a& clock shop, several odd machines which are never used, and a supposed mystery about a dead guy that never amounts to anything. Yet one puzzle involving a destroyed home had no real rhyme or reason to it. As reminiscent as the player interface and graphics are of 30+ year old Sierra Online games, it baffles me as to why a 64-bit Windows 10 system is required to run it. That wasn't a barrier in my case, but I understand others' frustrations. So it's a way to pass the time for an hour or so but felt like there needed to be so much more to it. I understand the challenges the developers faced, and kudos for making an effort. The price was right anyway..
