Albion

My fav game of all times

I played through this game 3 times. It's wonderful. A true hidden gem. Compare it to Firefly, years later there still is a small but very strong group of fans. Albion is an RPG in a unique universe and with very good story writing. A refreshing difference to the usual elves and dwarves. It has fewer degrees of freedom than some other RPGs. I found that to be a good thing, because the degrees of freedom can be overwhelming in other games at times. Albion delivers the things it does wrapped up in a very intuitive and well designed user interface. You still have the usual equipping characters, leveling up skills, item buffs, temporary buffs, etc. Some of the story is non-linear. The only problem is that it leaves you wishing for more and there never was a sequal. It was however developed by the same team that developed Amber Star and Amber Moon for Atari, which may be worth playing and use some of the same engine.

King's Bounty: The Legend

Booooring.

I don't get it. This game looks beautiful but seems astonishingly boring. The combat system is weird and not rewarding at all.
