To say this game is hard is an understatement, this is one of the more unforgiving games I have ever played. First of all, no matter how you build your character, there is always something you can't cover! Either you are a badass or a weak diplomat. The problem is... You need to be both to do anything easily in this game. You will die a lot in this game. There is no getting around it, but when you KEEP dying over and over, you start to wonder if its your character. So you build a new one to see that they suck just as much! It's so frustrating! The game is good, I know it is. Just make sure you have ALOT of spare time on your hands before buying.
I bought this game last week, and after playing it for over 10 hours; I must say it's nothing short of amazing. It is over ten years old, yet, nearly everything I see in this game, RPG's today are still copying it. So far my favorite character is Minsc, for his hilarious one-liners. The story so far is what you would expect at this point in RPG's, but coming form over ten years back, I'm sure it was original back in the day. It IS complicated, however, and the controld will take some getting used to, but once you start to get a grip on it you really start to have fun. There is nothing like stopping and planning for 5 minutes before a battle and seeing your plans work and your characters just dominate everything. If you like RPG's, BUY. If you like D&D, BUY. If youlike fantasy games, BUY. I don't think you can go wrong with this one.
