I bought this game for the nostalgia value. I remember playing it for hours and hours when I was younger. The gameplay is the same but simpler than modern games. You have resources, build town(s) to make economy for army, achieve objective. Turn based combat w/ one spell per round, fog of war permanetly revealed; were it made today, it woud be called simple. Therein lies its charm. On evenings when I'm not looking for a Paradox epic or a TW map painter, this game fills the strategy niche quite nicely.
