I've seen a lot of hype out there about this version working great on Windows 7, 64-bit, as long as you run it as XP and as administrator. What I got for this was stuttering graphics all over my screen and the total inability to enter buildings. You can try the Myst Masterpiece that is made just for Windows 7, too, if you like--but it doesn't work, either. A costly experiment for me. And no Myst.
Sure, the summary says it works on Windows 7, 64-bit. And it certainly seems to--except that it won't save where you actually were in the game. But an even bigger problem comes when your computer crashes. I ran it as Windows XP as an administrator, just like everyone suggested. More money down the drain.
