this game was really good almost as good as the legend of zelda games but it really was missing the whole action element since there are no enemies what so ever to fight and the end boss is just an ending cut scene. all and all I really did enjoy my time with this game.
Boring and uninspiring characters with a hint of feminism, most characters look like a joke, with woman that behave like men and men that coward away like woman (soyboys). The dialog is awful, just terrible, I can't imagine anybody talking like that not even in movies or cartoons, its just bad writting. graphics are childish but pasable. the only good thing in this game is the game mechanic wich where very interesting, but its poorly executed and the story which was good.
bought this game a while ago, never really got around to playing it until now and WOW it did not disappoint. the story is new but good, the world is beautiful, pretty much normal size but the dessert world is big and I mean big and fun to explore. Although there is a slight touch of feminist ideology, it is very slight, and does not really interfere with the story line or game play, the characters grow on you with the game and I personally quite enjoyed them. the game is a survival story driven narrative kind of game with some very interesting mechanics, creative world environment and enjoyable characters. I really loved this game, and am so sad that I finally reached the end of the game. only con to this game a few bugs here and there but nothing serious, make sure you save often.
story was better than the game play, pixel art is good but game play just gets old really fast.
what is happening to you GOG, this is not the way to go.
this game feels like an unfinished beta release of what it should have been, lots of crashes and freezing at and of every mission. this game needs a lot of work and attention.
most if not all the games that I own have the soundtrack included as part of the goodies and benefits of buying from GOG what went wrong here it used to be part of GOG to be able to get things like this for free as part of your games. heck its even stated in their jewtube page trailer of what GOG stands for that they would give you pictures, posters, sound tracks ans such for free as part of the game, why is this even being offered separate. GOG is changing and not for the better.
there are no words to make this game justice, I have never met such an incredible playable character like this bard, he literally thinks and says everything that is going thorough my head when I play RPG games that try so hard to impress the, only to fall flat on their intent and deliver a generic adventure game with nothing special. The bards tale is different, this bard character grows on you and you will end up loving him. neither the game nor the bard take the story or the game seriously but instead ridicule and make jokes about the overused elements that make up %99 of today's adventure games and that is what makes this game so good and so different. would love to have more games like this.
