The Solasta team has done a great job wrapping up the series with this last expansion. It's a high-level D&D5e campaign that caps out at 16, and it faithfully implements the mechanics in encounters that are fun and varied with plenty of new areas to poke around in. The game as a whole is not and likely was never intended to be on the same level of depth and scope found in big-budget titles like Baldur's Gate 3, but it performs admirably well in its own attempt to bring the D&D adventure feeling to PC. At this point you'll already know if Solasta is for you, and if it is, you can't go wrong with Palace of Ice.
Beautiful Desolation is a point-and-click adventure game similar to LucasArts classics such as The Dig and Monkey Island, with a bizarre memorable game world that brings Tides of Numenera's setting to mind. The game world is rendered in gorgeous details an accompanied by an absolutely stunning soundtrack. I can see where the Fallout comparisons come from; even though it's not an RPG, the UI elements are straight out of Interplay's first two Fallout games with the satisfyingly mashable red buttons. Highly recommended!
It's right up there with Fallout 1, 2 and Baldur's Gate; truly one of the most unique experiences you'll ever have in an RPG with such loving attention to detail and character personalities. Infinite replayability and a truly gigantic world make this one of my fondest gaming memories.
