If you like rogue-lites, shooters, bullet hellish gameplay with some metroidvania style progression by the end of a good run you will be unstoppable while you clear rooms with your probably thousands of weapons to use on top of the gifts you get if you can find the secret rooms. I've enjoyed this game more than many games in the last years and I still play it on occasion. It doesn't take itself seriously at all, it's just fun, and funny too! it can be hard in the beginning when you only have 3 hearts and a pea shooter but don't worry, there's so much replayability in here that this sale I see for $10 here on GOG, it's so worth it. If anything I said seems interesting, give Neon Abyss a shot. AND REMEMBER: ALWAYS DANCE AT THE BAR BEFORE HEADING OUT.
I come back to this game every year or so since I first played it way back on my XBox 360. This game is like warm nostalgia, along with an uneasy feeling in the stomache. The puzzles are challenging (for me at least the first play through). The stars are even more difficult and while I did get them all years ago I have forgotten how so I will be searching for them again. The art and music is beautiful and just fits perfectly together. The content of the game, the "story" per se, really groks with me. This part of the game is closest to my heart, and I will play it again when I crave that feeling. As you can tell, I love this game. The price for it, though, seems a little steep for an indie game almost a decade old. It's good, but wait for a half off or whatever sale because $15 US seems a little high.
