DMC 4 makes you wonder what if Capcom had the balls to upgrade DMC 3 in all its western glory both in terms of initial difficulty and boss fights. The Cerberus boss is far better than anything DMC 4 throw at you. On the positive side, the gameplay mechanics are improved and the Devil Bringer is a fine addition. The platforming sections and camera are the best of the entire series (including DMC 5). Cannot say the story hooks you but at least it's a decent enough excuse for you to be running around slashing demonic sock puppets
The original quality of DMC 1 and 3 is brought back with better graphics and refined details. But the fact that Capcom didn't bother to update or fix anything from DMC 2, especially knowing about the chaotic production and the backlash it faced upon the original release is kinda outraging
Remembering the hours of frustration backtracking and trying to figure out here to go next actually made me aprecciate this title even more in the present. It doesn't f* around in its difficulty and if things nowadays try to be user friendly all the time, Dino Crisis is like "we got a game, go figure what to do" It's way harder than Resident Evil and way more suspenseful as well. Too bad the all the 3 possible endings are kinda anticlimatic. This port is amazing for its graphics and attention to details, such as the extras already unlocked, the extras you unlock after a first playthrough, and the overall care it exales all over. A must play for survival horror fans
It's not often we see actual deep and well constructed horror stories. Alan Wake might not be the greatest gameplay of all time, but for those who love a good Stephen King story or old shows like Twilight Zone and X-Files it is impossible not to love.
