Citizen Sleeper 2 expands on the unique and expertly executed game play mechanics of the first game. It introduce complex new mechanics that add both unique challenges, and unique flavor to this version. This game is all its own. The gameplay is both strategic and psychological. This game taps into rich storytelling and deeply realized characters in an expansive and living world. The narrative unspools naturally, and each element of game design, game play, player choice and events come together to weave the story effortlessly. The way this all comes together is magic. I have rarely suffered such active stress or celebrated wins, as I have while playing this game. I can't think of a play experience that I have enjoyed more than both this game and its precursor. There is real magic here for those who are willing to embrace it.
This game is the most refreshing and engaging title I have played in a long time. The mechanics are both intuitive and engaging. The action flows smoothly and the variety of ways to play feels organic and open. What really takes the experience to another level is the amazing storyline. These characters are deep, and their world is complex. Nothing is straightforward, and choices matter. Humanity is front and center, along with the messy choices, heartbreak and stress, there is also beauty, humor and meaningful friendship. I loved every moment of this title.
