I'm a casual gamer and have survived other games like control but I will be asking for money back on this one because this is too difficult for me and I keep redoing every wall hundreds of times to move forward. Also, all the opponent shots are fatal on first shot which raises the difficulty seriously. And there is no difficulty option but I do respect that decision. I wish there was more guidance inside the game, there is a little bit of help at the beginning but after few screens it goes away. BUT I can't figure out how to rate this game because some better gamers might enjoy the challenge. Also visuals are stellar, and this is smooth as butter on my GTX 1660.
Maybe it is short, but this is one of the best puzzle games I've played. The design of the levels is brilliant. The challenge is never too easy or too difficult and some of the solutions do require some good thinking & coordination especially when you can also control the cat. The controls are simple, very polished and so are the graphics. A little more variety in the graphical design of levels would have been nice but this is still a gorgeous game.
If you are looking for something low adrenaline to relax, this game has nice saturated & bright colors and is a great game with a unique experience. I guess the game mechanics were not too exciting at launch but on the current version this is a beautiful relaxing exploration game. It is nice sometimes to visit caves without enemies hiding there. Yes, the controls are unique but did not take me long to figure them out - can't say that is a significant issue. Haven't played enough to complain about repetition but the vastness of the universe helps to bring variety to the mining & building.
Was very hesitant to purchase this one because while it has great reviews, it is more than 3 years old but... the storyline, gameplay and settings are so good that you forget some of the 3d details. If you like stealth like RPGs, you won't be disappointed.
Well after 4hrs of playing this one, I have been really impressed by the overall story and especially by the side quests. The setting is quite unique so far, visuals are impressive, voice acting is excellent. One of my favorite features of the game is the mouth/lip movements which are some of the most realistic that I have seen when characters speak - yes a detail but important since there is quite a bit of dialogues. You cannot compare this to AC or Witcher because the world is semi open and not as detailed as other massive RPGs but the details have been sufficient to keep me immersed in the story. Giving this a 5 because this is exactly what I expect from an indie RPG: remarkable story & setting, good game mechanics and top-notch voice acting.
This game is magical. And it is definitely more than a walking simulator, there are some intricacy to discover certain places and the main story is very compelling. Every bit motivates you to go to the next clue to understand what happened. It is all gently told, even all the wars and other trauma are only depicted with statues. Something I do like in indie games is that the music is very present and carries the overall exploration theme. Music is not just cues here and there.
