The Last Door: Collector's Edition

The Last Door is addictive

This harkens back to early days of computer gaming. The plot is very unique and in the style of Poe and Lovecraft and the graphics are very early nostalgic of Monkey Island. I found myself very engaged in the gameplay, the storyline and the general atmosphere of the game. Fans of the original Black Mirror, Sanitarium etc, this is for you. I did not think the graphics would thrill me, but they work well with the style and feeling of the game. Do I think there could be better graphics? Sure, but the game plays to your imagination with the 8-bit graphics and it works to enhance the creepy mood. I actually bought this years ago and never installed and played. I went to my account and saw The Last Door 1 and 2 and realized I had two new games to play! I was drawn in right away. Similar in soundtrack and feeling was Titanic Adventure out of Time. The graphics in that are better but still very early. Gog made that game much better when they released it, works on modern computers better than it ran off the old cdroms. If you are looking for a creepy and atmospheric mystery game, give this a try. I found I could not stop playing for long. Love that this was a crowd funded game and it is unique.
