Played all the Warlords game back in the day, still have all the manuals. Illuria is still my classic goto scenario...well balanced and addicitive game play.
Simply a great shooter with retro gfx style.
Plays like an upgraded FPS from the 90's. Solid, simple fun that has a nice assortment of environments and decent level play.
It does indeed play like the old-school fps's - Heretic, Hexen, with splashes of the original Duke in there. Upgrade system is a nice addition. The only negative is the spells, they feel kinda meh. Not enough of distraction to *not* plunk down $12. Well worth it. Weapons feel really satisfying, this game really would benefit froma multiplayer option.
