Stay away from this game if you: Exploration and Narrative -Expect a more story driven exploration game such as Outer Wilds, Subnautica, Pacific Drive. None of the procgen environment have any ties to the story whatsoever. -Dislike the extreme predictability of certain POIs -Dislike the lack of mystery of exploration due to overpowered scanners. Survival -Expect a survival experience in space and planets, you cannot die in space due to running out of fuel, you can only die in combat, since flying in space does not cost any fuel. As for planets, the survival portion of the game ends within 3 hours, from that point on your focus will shift to mining/crafting. - Expect extreme planetary environmental hazard, toxic/radiation are treated like hot and cold, you can always dig a hole down as solution to hazards. Neither did HG go all the way to make some of them as weird as real life (like Wasp 12b, TrES2b), in short no planets are too hazardous in this game. Base building and Settlements -Dislike Base building and Settlements never becomes large other than passive income and creativity, as they cannot be expanded to become a production base to fuel your other ventures. Combat -Dislike wonky flight model and AI, they like to fly out of your screen and ram into your starship over and over again. -Disklike fighting the same dreadnaught battle over and over again. - Expect good combat on ground, enemies like to spawn 5 meters within you when you are not looking, they are also blind. -Dislike enemy scaling to class of your weapons and starship Late game -Expect a solid late game with your hard-earned money for something bigger after you obtained your best ships/weapon, you retire instead. Do buy this game if you: -Like gorgeous procgen environments and feeling extremely good walking inside it -Like basebuilding and be creative about exterior / interior of your base
