I love it. To tell the truth, I am not into stories for indie games like this. I like it when the story is very focused and short, but I'm not saying that a story is bad, because some people like stories, and this game has one to offer, and this is a good thing. The visuals and music are beautiful. The gameplay is fantastic kinda of wish for more of it and do not know when Wind Runners comes out, cuz that game looks great too. :)
This game has depth like no other RTS even to this day. There are some elements in the story that I would change, but the main thing that tops it all is the atmosphere. The graphics are dated but it works as a wonder in some stages. A remaster for this Jem would be amazing if done correctly.
The original is the best version compared to others. The aesthetic is one of the main factors that pulls the Front Mission game in the first place. The gameplay has some quarks but the audio/visual presentation was amazing of the original and still is to this day. Remakes gameplay is solid, but man... It looks bad, to say the least... Imagine how this game would look like if Subset Games (Into The Breach) did a faithful pixel art remake of this one. It would be a smash hit, trust me.
I honestly think The Room is the best in the whole series. The plot, setting and mood are out of this world. It is not just the best horror game, but the best horror experience in all media. Keep in mind, if you are sensitive, stay away from this one.
