I love this game. A rogue-like FPS with a fun progression system, a decent difficulty curve and an amazing soundtrack. Chapter 1 and 2 are great, with levels that aren't too big or confusing. But Chapter 3 tried too hard and made the levels too long and complicated, with too many enemies, a lot of them able to end you very quickly, which can be a problem when dying in level kicks you out and re-rolls it, meaning that you can't really learn a hard part of the game as it'll constantly change. Still highly recommend, but I won't be surprised if Chapter 3 will turn you off a little.
Nightdive put their heart and soul into remastering this, and it shows. The lighting is a standout, as well as the improved controls. The game itself, however, is not amazing. Definitely the weakest entry out of the games that they have brought back for modern audiences. There's some fairly frustrating boss fights, and sometimes the partner AI can be more of a nuisance than an actual help. I beat it in about 4 hours, which is kinda short for the amount it costs. Still, I enojoyed myself, and would recommend it.
