Apotheon

Nice action game, supports controllers

Playing this with controller from the couch, works seamlessly (Linux, DualShock 4 controller, ds4drv emulating xpad-wireless). Left stick to move around, right stick to aim around in any direction, combined with the many weapons available makes for a great combat mechanics. You increasingly upgrade the character with what you find in order to stand up to more powerful enemies and gods. I am no expert at greek/roman mythology but it seems the game kind of follows it closely because the in-game gods have intricate relationships between them.

Lost Eden

Great FMV graphics, great music

The music sticks in one's head!! The 3D FMV graphics are amazing for the time. Contains beautiful cut-scenes of flying dinosaurs. They must've been revolutionary back then. There is a nice story to it and the puzzles are well thought. There's a beautiful White Label box edition that I own. Either that, or the GOG version, you must own this game.

TRI: Of Friendship and Madness

High quality indie like Portal or Talos

Played this during its Alpha stages and highly enjoyed it. Now it's much more polished, it really feels like a complete game. It's definitely a top puzzler, quite difficult and has nice graphics and atmosphere. The most similar games that I know of are: Portal, Portal 2, The Talos Principle

Costume Quest

Funny but repetitive

Silly Halloween theme with lots of monsters to beat all around the neighborhood. It's funny most of the time and has nice character due to silly artwork. But it soon becomes repetitive. Had I played it as a kid, I think I would've liked it more.
