Bought it years ago around the time it came out at an EB or Gamestop. Probably one of the best vampire games out at the time. Today, the game doesn't hold up and the graphics aren't all that great either. On a 5 star scale I can only give it a 2, on a more accurate 10 point scale I'd give it maybe a 7 or 7.5 yo be fair. I'm surprised GoG is still trying to sell this OLD game decades later for $20, total rip-off. Not worth more than $4 to $9 at most.

Got it as a Christmas gift as kid when I was about 12. This is probably the game that got me the most interested in 3D art. I still have the game CDs from back then with their fantastic CD-sleeve art. Don't really know what to say about it except I was captivated by it's visually stunning surrealism and atmospheric music and sounds, and even today it's still one of the most memorable games for me. Even though the resolution isn't very high and it won't hold up that great on HD displays, I still think this is one of the most captivating Myst games, aside from Myst III, which was also very atmospheric and even more immersive with the addition of the new 360 degree camera. I am looking forward to the Starry Expanse re-creation.

This is a horror game that is more about the story and interacting with the environment (think similar to a Myst game, except horror) than it is about the action. If you need it to be challenging and to shoot stuff for it to be interesting, then you have the maturity and attention span of a 6 year old. This game is not a shooter or action game, and doesn't pretend to be one.
