Can't say what isn't already said about this game. If you like post apocalyptic scenarios, ego shooters and you don't mind some survival feature (eat, drink, sleep) this game might be for you. However it can be the case that this game might not run (or for some reason only on random occasions) with Win 10. English Review: (Deutsche Rezension unten) The game was release in 2017 but I just bought and played it in 2021. The reason was because of soem reviews you even read here that tell you that Monster Grind sucks or this is not even an RPG. And I can tell you it is all wrong! Why? - EPX gain is done by doing Quests not by killing monsters (it is even smarter to run from, at least the larger one, the first 10-15 level) - Your choices matter! - Different way to skill your char - Nice landscapes that invite you to explore the world - A real good story! - Haven't spotted any bugs. Just had a crash to desktop because I did granade spaming in a battle. (so better don't do that! ;-)) Elex is a really good RPG! If you are not the unpatient kind of gamer and you liek to explore worlds, this game is for you! Deutsche Rezension: Das Spiel erschien 2017, aber ich habe es erst 2021 gekauft und gespielt. Der Grund sind manche Rezensionen wie man sie teilweise auch hier lesen kann. Leute beschweren sich über schlechten Monster Grind oder behaupten sogar Elex sei kein RPG. Ich kann sagen das dies alles Unsinn ist und wieso. -EXP verdient man am besten durch das Erledigen von Questst und nicht durch die Monsterjagd. (es empfiehlt sich sogar eher die ersten 10-15 level vor den Mosntern weg zu laufen, zu midnest den Größeren!) - Deime Entscheidungen spielem eine Rolle! - Verschiedene Wege deinen Char zu skillen - Schöne Landschaften die dich zum Erkunden der Welt einladen - Eine sehr gute Story! - Habe eigentlich keine Bugs festgestellt. Hatte allerdings einen Crash to Desktop als ich in einem Gefecht mit Granaten gespamt habe (also mach das besser nicht! ;-)) Elex ist ein wirkliches tolles RPG! Wenn du nicht zur ungeduldigen Sorte von Spieler gehörst und du gerne Welten erforschst, dann ist dieses Spiel für dich!
IDK if you people are aware how Deep Silver fooled their Shenmue backers by moving from Steam Suddenly to Epic, which most backers would never haved agreed with Deep SIlver is not even even giving them a refund. I reallly was interested in Pathfinder. But the fact that Deep Silver is the publisher makes it impossible to me to buy it. IMO GOG shouldn't not sell games from a publisher that treats his customers that way. But that's my opinion.
The reasosn for the 3 Stars is that the following issues bothered me from start to finish Beside this a good game. I also add that I did not play this game with Mods and I played on "Classic Mode". #1 Money issue: In the 1st 2 chapters I did find merchants and different NPC that sold me Armour and Weapons with stats that fit very well to my characters classes, but I had not much money. Later in the game I had tons of money but the NPC's just sold me stuff I had no use for as it did not fit to my characters classes. I Had an Asssassin, a "Dreadknight" a Ranger and a Huntsman with Pyro and Poison skills. So 2 "close Combat classes" and 2 "ranged Combat classes". But back to the money issue... You could think Thievery is a good way to make money on the beginning, which some guides als suggest, but A. You have to start VERY eraly with it basically when you character had not really leveled up much. So it's risky B. Maybe you don't want your Characters to be Thieves C. Every character can just steal 1 time per NPC and it's hard to steal ALL the NPC's money! #2 Armour and Weapons: As I mentioned in #1 At the beginning you find NPC that sell you good stuff and later only stuff that was useless to me. To be precise, the stuff I could get would have forced me to to make ALL my character classes Huntsmen with Pyro and Geomancer skills. As you can guess, not what I wanted! The "funny" part is that the best Armour in my game was "The Armour of the Eternals" which is pretty good, but requires 14 Strenght to wear it. So nothing ment for classes that should use Finesss. Crafting Armour and Weapon COULD be a solution. But it seems you can only craft stuff that has no additional Stats (except for Armor of the Eternals) And I don't know if crafting Weapons and Armour with stats is even possible without mods. I could not find a guide that bothered a lot with crafting Weapons and Armour, at least none that helped me. One last note: Use GOG Galaxy to update this game! Really helps!
