I found the start of this game headache indusingly boring. However I stuck with it and by around the halfway mark I found myself quite enjoying it. The mechanics are fun to play around with once you get some freedom to play with them and the story was good enough, not a masterpeice but good enough to want me to finish the game...........
I never actually finished this game. The atmosphere was quite heavy and the bullets as money thing as well as the air filters running out was becoming rather stressful. It was beginning to make me feel a little depressed in real life. I am planing to get back to it cause it is a good story and a good game, I just need to find a super happy game to play along side it to lift my spirits when I'm running low on ammo, air filters as well as light and I can hear monsters crawling in the walls ceiling and floor.......
I've played Men of war games for years. They can be quite hard, there is quite a bit of micromanagement under fire and you will get overwhelmed to the point you have to turn your PC of and give yourself a good five minutes of quite time. However when you beat a level and triumph over adversity you will feel so awesome and it is well worth the few tears you may have shed. Though maybe I just suck at RTS?? Later games in he series are better but this one is still great...........
I got this game only because it was illegal in Australia for some odd reason.....I played through twice and have not seen any offending materiallet alone turned into a criminal. The game itsself is quite enjoyable, you start off as a guy on a beach with nothing and work your way up to badarse........and trust me when your leveling up you feel like your actualy acheving something. The story is a little genaric but good and the seanery was rather pretty to look at. all in all I would say to buy it...especially if your an Australian.
