I bought this game and loved it. The light touch on the graphics makes it look better but doesn't ruin the memories I have with the series. The modern controls are a great addition. I just change to the old ones if I really need to make a specific jump, sometimes not even then. The game is a bit heavier on the pc than I imagined it would be, but still runs great. The only negative point about this collection it's the ridiculous message that always appears"we're sorry this game has outdated values, uwu. Please don't be mad at us" *_* Seriously? sigh. Great games though.
I've had so many good experiences with Fallout 3. The game is great, you can go anywhere and do anything. Even break storylines with your bad decisions! It's one of those games that you want to play at least twice to see what would happen if I was really nice and then if I was really bad. It changes a lot! It's a great mix of shooting action, RPG in turns and a story driven dialogue game. The DLCs are some of the best part of the game, so even if you think the game was good not great, there are greater things after the end credits. I wanted to buy it again because my disc got lost after so many years, but the Steam version is broken. BUT here on GOG the game worked PERFECTLY. No patch. No messing around. Install and done. GOG always doing a great job keeping older games running even when Bethesda doesn't anymore.
I was not exactly sure of what to expect going back to MGS on PC. I quickly realized that I could easily use a ps4 controller using DS4windows and everything was perfect to run. The only problem was I couldn't use the directional buttons, only analog. That was the only set back for me. Besides that... Oh my God this game still rules. Few games are so cinematic as this one. Cool voice acting, camera shots and soundtrack. It blew my mind when I was 12 (when I first played this) and still find it amazing 20+ years later. The story is so full of twists and turns in a way no game had done it before. It's very blocky, but it's so full of charm that it doesn't matter to me. Kojima's script is kinda cheesy sometimes because Snake is such a "cool soldier", but it hits some deep topics also. No console made in the last 10 years run this game, which to me is such a pity. That's why when I saw it on GOG I bought it immediately. This is my favorite game and I'll play again once and a while. It always brings me joy. It's not just nostalgia. This is the best Metal Gear to date with MGS 5 coming second. Now I can have it with me for a good long time. Maybe all my life. No game impacted my life like this one.
