Defender's Quest

Great fun

This is probably as much fun you can have with a tower defense game. It's horribly addictive. Every time I sit down for a short battle or two I end up using a few hours instead. One reason for this is that battles are actually fairly quick (and you will run a lot of them on x2 or x4 speeds). It makes the temptation to run just another round so tempting. The RPG type trappings (leveling and skill increments) also makes the game more fun though the customization you can do to your "characters" is still limited.

The Longest Journey

This is why I love adventure games

Let me start by stating that as a Norwegian I'm possibly disqualified to even rate this game and that it was wonderful just to have an adventure game my native language. Even so this game has one of the best stories I personally have experienced in any computer game (It might share the top spot with Gabriel Knight 2). If you're even slightly interested in adventure games you owe it to yourself to play this one.
