While it might not have been my introduction to the franchise, as my mother and grandmother prefer HOMM2, my father and cousins solidifed in me the love for the third title in the franchise. An absolutely perfect game from end to end for lovers of turn-based strategy. It is easy to see the cultural impact this game has had when it has maintained a steady playerbase around the world for decades. The mapmaker and later campaign crafter tools have ensured that there is always new community content available. I can't reccomend this game enough!
