I had purchased this game on GOG several years ago and it played fine. Today I loaded it up and the mouse was not working properly. Did they make a change to the game? The steam version may run better, or even buying a physical copy off ebay.
I was intrigued by the premise of this game: valuable units that gain experience; buildings and vehicles that have to be manned; generally strategy and thinking over the dumbed down gameplay like Starcraft. Unfortunately in execution there ended up being too many flaws for me to play beyond a few missions. For some reason vehicles can be repaired by your mechanics without taking it to a workshop and require no resources to repair. This is silly and changes the dynamics of play. The units I carefully trained and leveled up in one mission are not all carried over to the next. With no skirmish mode, clunky graphics (watch it in motion on youtube), and average voice acting and super LAME dialogue.
