I remember the first time Diablo 1 came out. And if you were a kid in that time and you had a relative play the game, you can't say that the iconic encounter with the Butcher didn't scar you for life. Carbot Animations nailed this quite well. To pivot back to the game, however— GOG brilliantly breathed new life into this over a quarter of a century game, allowing it to seamlessly play over modern systems. It truly is a thing of beauty to be able to play this on any PC of today— one way or another, this game will find a way to enchant you. So give it a ago and see how well you can fare against the titular villain himself... if you dare.
