Bought this after playing the game. It has a lot of really useful background info and concept art from the game. If you found yourself fascinated by the world of Pathologic 2 and wondered what was going on in the heads of the people who made it, this is worth a buy.
Title says it all. Go in to this one knowing nothing. But prepare to be punished. Prepare to be frustrated. Prepare to be angry. Prepare to shout the word "unfair" more than you've ever shouted at a game before. And prepare for the experience to stick with you for long after you stop playing. It's a horrible time, you're going to love it.
This kind of flew in under the radar when it was first released but it was pretty far ahead of its time. The combat mechanics were fantastic, allowing for hacking off of limbs and heads, etc. Some might find the combat slow and cumbersome, the controls awkward, but if you stick with it things get enjoyable. It definitely goes for a more 'realistic' angle to the combat so don't expect Dynasty Warriors style button mashing. But this IS first and foremost a hack and slasher, there's nothing too heavy in the story or RPG elements. Have a lot of fond memories of this one. Many hours hacking away at orcs :)
