I installed the game using lutris on linux mint and a video file named 'SpaceChem - Of Pancakes and Spaceships (188, 1, 9) - 2024-02-15-13-56-11.ogv' appeared on my desktop. It is signed with todays date. What does it mean ? I deleted the video file and uninstalled the game alltogether !
I bought this game from another site for 5$ and it is worth more than that. It ran in my netbook smoothly. I have also bought and tried HOMM3 but dated graphics and music did not appeal me.
I just wanted a TBS for my netbook. Combats with cards are meaningless. You don't need much brain to click on cards. After clicking a card you are awarded with some noisy spell animations, which is not for me. I would prefer Age Of Wonders instead of this.
No good old game collection is complete without this one. However, I doubt if it is still playable. I remember steering ship with joystick on C64 and DOS sounds were not attractive, never played this on DOS.
