The Secret of Monkey Island™: Special Edition

Fantastic adventure with a bad update.

The Secret Of Monkey Island is probably my favorite adventure game of all time. This special edition, while clearly with its heart in the right place, misses the mark with one oddly bad decision. The artstyle of the new graphics are downright ugly. This is in no way a dealbreaker in itself since you thankfully have the option to switch back and forth between this visual abomination and the beautiful pixelart of the original release with just the press of a button. What unfortunately is lost when you choose the preferred oldschool graphics is the voice acting. That's a big loss since these voices actually are really good and adds a lot of enjoyment to the game. This is fixed in the special edition of the sequel but is tied to what version of the graphics you choose to use in this release. That's pretty much the only problem to be found here though so if you are looking for a cool, fun and exciting adventure you won't be to disappointed by this special edition.

Worms United

Fun classic!

This might not look as good, be as refined or have as many features as the later entries in the series but it remains one of the most fun. The main theme music is so good. The crude cutscenes are super charming and the gameplay is simple yet effective. This is very much a classic and weather you play this on the Sega Megadrive, Amiga, PS1 or PC you are sure to be having some exceptional fun. Especially if you are playing with a friend.

Worms World Party Remastered

Heavy lagg

I love the "Worms" series and this seem to be the most complete version in regards to features, maps and weapons. It looks and feel like a slightly updated version of "Worms Armaggeddon". What kills this title is the outrageous lagg that some users experience. It is game breaking and renders the game unplayable. The fact that GOG, Team17 or anyone else haven't released a patch that resolves this issue since release is very annoying and sad. Stick to the excellent "Worms Armageddon" instead.
