First of all, my opinion about this game very biased. When I was a young, I played this game like crazy on my computer. I remember to find this game on of the most exited games of all. I was really thrilled that the game came to GOG. Now the game is finally on GOG, and I was able to rivive some good memories. The game still looks good and I plays well, though the gameplay may feel some slugish for the new player. The amount of fighters you can get is limited, but they do just fine. My favorite still is the X-Wing. The missions are very varied so each time you get a fresh new challenge. From the desert to a big city, it has everything. The sense of freedom is great and your fighter or bomber fly free through the sky. The only thing that still bothers me are the Walkers. Those things are sometimes hard to take down because of the controls and the camera angle, but it is a detail on a very good game. The new players may be shocked that there is no real explanation of the controls, but they soon get used to it when they start playing. Now, the game still has some minor bugs concerning the camera angle thats sometimes stuck (at least with me) but overall, it is still one of the greatest games of my childhood and I can recommend it to everyone who whants to play a really fun and diverse flight-game from the 90's.
I didn't expect much of this game, but it is really fun. You really get the vibe of being trapped on a deserted planet and you are alone to survive. The music is great and the gameplay is just fine. Don't expect action or something like that. Patience is also recommended in the game. The story is just well enough to get you going and the atmosphere is great.
In all the years since I am playing games, nothing can be compared with this game. It is simply the best game ever. You will get hours and hours of gameplay and after 10 years, you will still play it again and again. The atmosphere of the game is just great. Building your rollercoaster is simple yet it is so much fun. You will manage your park in a way that was never seen before this game. Also, the game has a ton of options to improve your park to a rate that is it unbelieveble that this was possible in 1999. The only thing I can recommend, just buy the damn game and play it for the rest of your life. I mean, $2,99 is a good price for a legendary game. Sorry for the bad English, i'm Dutch.
Re-Volt was the first racing game I have ever played. It brings up memories of a time that I was young and this game is a part of it. I played it for hours and hours and still it is, for me the, the best racing game ever. The game still looks fine en plays well. The fun of shooting a waterbaloon to a opponent is still great and the tracks are very impressive to race on. Also, this game is still fun to play for young and old so if you have kids, let them enjoy this game because it is worth every dollar you have.
