Very nice RPG indeed. Resembles to Realms of Arkania.
mouse becomes frozen from time to time
Well, I played 7 version without mods and the game is unique from a legendary developer, one of the oldest and best known so far in this genre, but the number of bugs is overhelming, even after 6 years of non stop corrections made by the devs. Other than bugs there is a lot of hilarious copmplexity in basic operations, such as: - A captains with 3 stars attacking the station come too close and being destroyed in seconds. - A miner with comply to police settings suddenly anger the police and while I have +29 reputation standing with TER they still become red and nuke all my ships in sector. - The fastest way I found to rise repuitation to +10 is to fly around the stations and nuke criminal drones, but some drones cannot be hit at all, no matter what weapon I use. - loading times are growing from 5 seconds at the begining of the game to 30+ seconds now when I opened almost all the sectors. And due to a constant hillarious activity I find myself reloading during the combat almost every 5 minutes. - The game has many tutorials, non of them I found helpful to see what has to be done in order to simply stop xenon invasion or how to make constant flow of money, so it is required to read / watch some guides on the net in order to start at least feeling the game. So I rate this game to a "nice try" level, which is 3 stars so far. It is much better than the previous one, X rebirth, but in current condition its for the ppl with huge amount of time wishing to waste it for fun looking how given orders to their own ships simply being ruined by total inability to comply to basic commands by modestly experience captains and only after wasted dosens of hours studing how to play this game at all.
True to original legend with modern graphics, another gem in JA series.
Resembles to the best real time RPG games such as Elder Scrolls Oblivion and so on, but much better than the last elder scrolls games to my opinion. A very good and unique battle system, very realistic and hard to master, much better than many other games. Boasts supperior graphics and requires decent graphical card. Very detailed and made with outstanding quality. A correct looting system, unlike many other noobish games have. Quests are not trivial and that's great! Hunting is difficult but its awesome. Some miner issues however still exist even today. But over all it scores 5+ stars and is much better than any game of same ganre I played before. And trust me, I'm playing these kind of games from the old 90x. Worth every penny, after the patches of course!
