I'm not going to gush, just a short why. Variety. That's it. I'll stack Arcanum up against Skyrim any day. Skyrim's graphics are better, but that's about it. I love Skyrim but there are only a dozen monsters. There are hundreds in Arcanum. Your ability to do what you want only has one distant second follower, the elder scrolls series. The openness of Arcanum is still awe inspiring today.
