This is one of the more unique RTS games out there with an amazing amount of content and complexity. It's certainly worth anyone's time and money, though it might not be the most polished game out there. It's also more focused on single player, so the fact that it's old should not be an issue. The game is centered around creating a persistent hero which gains levels and transfers between battles, increasing in strength, expanding their retinue and acquiring new artifacts and abilities. It offers a lot of replayability.
