I loved these games when I was a teenager so I was stoked to see them available on here. They work fine on Windows 10 through the GOG Galaxy launcher. It's nice to be able to play games with some intelligence and difficulty to them, modern games aren't made like this anymore. I find that modern city sims or top-down strategy games are lacking depth and nuance, so the replayability isn't there. Not the case with something like. I miss the days of Sierra/Impressions making solid, smartly designed games that offer hours of fun.
This is a fun game for the price. Just like the first game, it's great to play through an actual historical campaign, but once you get to a certain period of history, the game ends. The gameplay and functionality of the game is different than the first one. The changes work but I find the gameplay of the predynastic game to work better since it's a simpler interface. Anyways, it's fun for cheap game when it's on sale.
This is a fun game but I find it a little limited. It's great to play through an actual historical campaign, but once you get to a certain period of history, the game ends. I also find there's not much variability in the missions or gameplay. I grew up playing Pharaoh/Cleopatra and that's a beautifully put together game on ancient Egypt, so if this one isn't your jam, try that.
