This game is mediocre compared to the previous game in the series, Fallout New Vegas. It is also mediocre compared to its unofficial sequel Fallout London. However, you do need to buy Fallout 4 in order to play Fallout London, and it is much easier to set up Fallout London using GOG rather than Steam. Thus this game (and on this platform) is worth picking up at a discount if only to play Fallout London.
Absolutely fantastic game. Completely reworks Fallout 4 into a much more interesting and fun experience. That being said, this game definitely benefits from having additional mods installed, specifically Buffout 4 and the High FPS Physics Fix from the Fallout 4 Nexus as well as the Unofficial Fixes from the Fallout London Nexus. Fortunately, all of these mods are very easy to install and the process should be fairly simple even for someone who has never modded a game before. This game is excellent, so much so that I'd even recommend buying Fallout 4 on sale just to play this. However, players should be prepared to spend a little extra time setting the game up with additional mods so that it can run as smoothly as possible.
