Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition

It is hindered by its poor gamedesign.

Pros: Nice story Good graphics Well-researched medieval themes Good illustrations Super-interesting Characters. Cons: Needless Complexity for the sake of complexity (many reskinned "fatigue" indicators (sleep, hunger, leg damage etc) for no reason. (One can easily find food, so why do I have to eat an apple all the time). Why not make a pooping/taking a piss timer as well for the sake of realism (you don't have to hire me for that one I am giving it to you for free). The game does not let you make some critical choices but it **makes** them for you. In the game a character barked some information at some point for no reason. That is partly justifiable for the big stuff in order to keep the game going (i.e. grand purpose) but for certain smaller stuff that is inexcusable. It doesn't even give you the illusion of choice. This is a big contrast to the witcher where you are given a set of options. Your hero is handicapped. The game is not fair. What I mean is if you are selling this "realism" part why should NPCs have a separate set of stats. If I get instakilled with one hit when I do not wear any armour I expect to be able to kill an NPC if I stab them in their brain from behind and not have them casually turn around and murder me. Again if you sell this pseudorealism please make the character able to climb stuff. Instead he is hindered by anything above his lower chest. Make stuff clear. When one searches kingdom and shovel there are literally autocompleted results meaning that other players had the same problem i.e. the items were not clearly seen and you had to be superclose to see them. Overall the vanilla experience is not worth it. It has pseudorealism and pseudodeep combat. Maybe buy this if you have the time to mod it OR if you are super into renaissance/medieval times.
