You can tell that it has some rough edges and I'm told it was a rush job to compete with HL2 on release back in 04. Combat is a bit clunky, combos are hard and you can get your butt whopped if you aren't careful. But what makes this game shine isn't its combat, but the world. I was a fan of World of Darkness before playing this game, and it pays to have the previous knowledge before going into the game due to how many terms are thrown around, but someone new would and can learn quick. Overall, like I said in the title, Old but Gold.
