Cyberpunk 2077

Why so much anger?

I see no point in anger. I was not hyped about 2077 and was not following the news too much. I expected something like Deus Ex mixup with Omikron. And that is what the game is. It gives you Deus Ex capabilities in an Omikron like world (just without demon creatures). The story is nice for the cyberpunk. The game runs fine with a bit above average settings on my 6 years old PC. Some issues happen but no game-breakers. The game is fine, not a jewel like Witcher 3 though in my opinion but overall it is a good game with lots to do gameplay.

Space Pirates and Zombies

Steam should pay SPAZ because of me

I opened account in Steam in 2011 to buy this game at full price and wishlist SPAZ 2 in order not to miss its release. So basically everything I own in Steam is thanks to this game. I did not like SPAZ2 as much as first part but still it is ok. SPAZ is a great game made by 2 guys, relaxing and fun. I recommend this one instead of SPAZ2. If you like it then go for a second part.

Star Wolves

One of a kind

I still haven't decided if this one or Space Rangers is my favorite game of all. Well, other reviews say it all. You need to play this one, then Star Wolves Civil War and never play Star Wolves 2. Civil War is good but the freedom of choices was not implemented that well so game should just use the same approach with missions system and not fly where you want. Also there are some good Russian mods that change this one so much that it becomes almost a new game but those mods were never intended to be used with English versions (the game is Russian after all). And max resolution is 1280 but that can be changed easily inside the game folder by editing default.cfg file I think. You can set whatever resolution you like there and game runs smoothly. The game engine is surprisingly stable, versatile.

Outcast - Second Contact

Very same while I was expecting more

It is absolutely the same game just with a better graphics and faster shooting guns which makes game easier. I mean in 1999 this was a masterpiece. There were not so many games with full 3D and open world with a lot of NPCs. At that time games were made not for making money but for "fun". You did not expect from the game loads of features, just a 20 to 30 hours of interesting gameplay. Today we expect more from the game but second contact is just the same game, even a little bit easier. I would absolutely approve it if there will be DLC that would extend story line but at the moment guys just took unreal engine and redesigned levels and models. Put the same story line, same items placement, same issues, same controls. Even old audio samples and movie scenes were used. And selling that as a 35 euro game is a bit too rude. I mean, you did not need game designer, level designer, actors, artists - all that was taken (copypasted even without proper quality improvements) from main game so you did not spend money there. While we have 39 euro games like Original Sin and Original Sin 2 which required way more efforts and people to get completed. I would not recommend it now unless there will be some reasonable DLCs. At the moment just play old Outcast with graphic mods to get almost the same game or even better.

Space Pirates and Zombies 2

Could be better

It lacks the feeling of SPAZ. In SPAZ you are focused on researching one type of tech (beams, rockets, systems, drones, etc) and evolve that way. Here you can become anything anytime, just switch a part. So you don't feel your ship like a unique one. I still want a super huge weapons to be here because we play a clockwork ship type and don't have that huge beam from SPAZ 1. I don't feel hammerhead's power as it was in SPAZ 1. I barely differ it from level 1 ships. I miss research points. I miss weapon levels and availability only after research. The game is still good and I play it from time to time but only to see if it hadn't become a SPAZ 1 yet.
