Tormented Souls

One of my all time favorites!

This is one of my favorite horror games. It perfectly blends aspects of both Resident Evil and Silent Hill. The graphics are great. Character models have this old PS2 era charm and the voice acting is cheezy. What more could you want from a survival horror? My only two cons would be: (1) the combat and attack animations can be a bit rough around the edges. Enemies are a bit too fast and it's difficult to avoid attacks. (2) Besides the main game there's really nothing else. No unlockables, no difficulty options, no NG+ or anything. You beat the game and that's it. There are three endings which are determined at the end of the game. This allows you to basically reload your last save to get all three endings. I still really enjoy this game for what it is and play through it occasionally. It can be very unsettling at times and down right terrifying at others. If you're a fan of old school survival horror games then this is definitely worth it.

Pretty solid so far

I've only made it a short while into the game but it's pretty solid as far as souls-likes are concerned. A few bugs and a little jank to be expected, but the mechanics work well. The animations take a bit of time to get used to but overall I would say it was definitely worth the sale price.
