This gameplay is fun, the towers are useful and entertaining, and the humor of the earlier games is there, but the game can honestly be a bit of a slog. I sincerely wish there was an option to speed up the gameplay a bit, because every level for over 2/3rds of the game has 15 waves, and at points you're just watching the screen waiting for the next one. The other issue is that most of the heroes are just meh. This was shared a bit by the earlier games in the series, but it's on full display here, where there are a few heroes that shine and the a few that make you question why the developer bothered. All in all, a great way to spend some time if you like tower defense and goofy pop culture reference humor (as I do), but a little disappointing compared to the other three games in the series.
