Knights of Honor

Best strategy game ever

Very unique concept of a grand strategy map using real time. Its excellent still much better than KoH2. A must try for any fan of the game.

Project Warlock

TL:DL: INSTANT CLASSIC

GoG allows only very short reviews which is BS...so I will keep it short. This is a very unique gem, has amazing amount of variety in monster, weapons, map design. Weapons upgrade system is full of meaningful choices not BS like borderlands had with gazzilion of weapons and 99,9% of them being garbage. Music also good, few tracks don't fit the game though. Atmosphere - when you first load up the skyscraper map - wow. Perk and stat system allowing you to further customize your character with magic on top. Multiple build available letting you replay the game over and over. Took me 5-6 hours to finish on first playthrough. Extremely well priced, paid 12USD,11EUR,10GBP - fantastic and you get OST for FREE! who does that for you these days with games like AC:O priced at 90GBP... Dev team interested in listening to the fan base and working on patches from day one. While we are on the dev, the guy behind it is 19 year old, can you imagine what he will brings us in the future? Support him! After the massive disappointment that Diablo 3 was I stopped buying pre-orders...only bought like DooM 2016, first 2 Tomb Raiders and some smaller things like Kingdom Rush games...this was an insta buy and will buy it on Steam the second its available to support the developer. Will buy this for friends too. Game receives excellent praise from big youtubers like ggmanlives and major publicists like Rock Paper Shotgun, Kotaku even John Romero approves! Stop reading this, go buy the game !!!

Kingdom Rush: Frontiers

Best tower defense series

There are a number of games out that in the tower defense genre, but when I first discovered an online version of Kingdom Rush I have immediately fell in love. Few things that distinguish the series: - great art style - this game has many clones but remains unique and high polish - fun gameplay - unlike cheap clones this game is well thought, planned and executed - bug free - I haven't encountered any bugs that would ruin the experience - sound design and music - the sounds and music just add to the overall experience, they of quality and match presentation - each game has multiple maps to play in the story mode plus you usually get extra small scenarios and now endless mode as well - there are multiple heroes each with distinct traits/skills to try out further adding to replay value Let me sum up by saying that I bought a smart phone (5,5') just to be able to play all 3 games. The whole series is highly recommended, I own them on android and steam :)

Grim Dawn

Instant classic, among the best.

The first time i heard about this game I found out its from the creators of Titan Quest which immediately sparked my interest as I have pushed aside d2 long time ago to play TQ, Started playing this game in early access, paid full price at the time, never regretted it. 200+ hours in early access playing it now again after all the changes have been added. Amount of builds, customization, stuff to do, plan and test is just overwhelming. Combat is fun, multiple viable builds (which isn't the case for games like d3 for instance where you have set amount of builds that work and there rest is just crap). I love the loot indicators moving on the screen when you open a chest or loot a loot orb, little touches like that make it great. Lore notes/books that give exp, Deep and shallow specializations, cross class and single class builds, the Devotion system with constellations puts path of exiles massive skill tree to shame (its big but useless as its filled with +1% dex BS stuff), here in GD every point in constellations serves a purpose, its not a +1%dex. its more, or it gives a skill, or it unlocks a path, or it lets you unlock a skill or it lets you gain affinity or it lets you complete a constellation to gain further affinity. Nemesis systems, 3 difficulty levels along with an optional difficulty modifier (veteran) available from the start letting experienced players get good challenge from the start while still letting less experienced players enjoy their game. Very good visual style, dirty, dark world, that is actually believable, nothing sterile like d3 (very happy about this). A ton of skills along with skill modifiers letting you change for instance an aether ray into a chaos ray. Apart from all that there is multiplayer and mods and the game will give you hundreds of hours of great fun, guaranteed.
