I gave this a try in 2022 after watching several 'is this still worth playing in 2022' reviews, and I hoped that after so many years bugs would not dominate the game anymore. I felt like in the early playings of Dark Souls 1 having to try parts of the game over and over again, ending up in situations where I was blocked, unable to move. Having to reload a save game, losing my hard earned progress to a damn bug! Gameplay is not fun either. Finding 'save potions' is harder than finding bonfires. Repeating game play scenes over and over again due to randomness is not fun. Having to pixel peep until I can open a bag or chest is tedious. Quest design is awful (pickup quests cluttered all over the map) After all, it really brings the middle ages (of computer gaming) back to life. Glad I got it in a sale for just 10e.

On the good side: it looks gorgeous and the game might be fun to play... but... it appears it's only playable when you own a controller to attach to your PC/Mac. It's not really fun playing when you are used to mouse + keyboard since it is either controller or keyboard only. This ruined my experience really bad, I should have bought it for Switch or PS4, or whatever... appears as if this is just a console title ported to PC...

First, I was hesitant as of all the bad reviews of the game, but I finally gave it a shot. After playing it for a few hours: I don't get all the bad reviews and can't agree with them. The game does not explain much, mostly you have to find out for yourself. There is a few intro-quests, but they don't cover the full potential of the game. This leads to a lot of - "Oh, okay...! So that's how it works." - which can be kind of rewarding. - "Oh, okay...! So I have to do something else first..!" - which can be kind of depressing. So you got a lot of ups and downs you're going through while playing this game. It appears easy to do certain things in the first place, but there's sort of a chain reaction you need to build up first, before everything falls into place. So, if you keep up and don’t let yourself loose patience you might have fun playing it. If you want short term results and progressing, you better shouldn’t. As everyone is comparing this to Stardew Valley: YES, if you liked Stardew Valley, you’ll probably like this one, too. One hint: You might want to google "graveyard keeper wiki" and tab into the wiki every now and then. It might help keeping track since it is easy to get lost in building that "chain reaction".
