I've played this game on and off. There's always something new to find each playthrough. Yes, it can be buggy, but sometimes the bug make it more fun. I've experimented with mods, which add new stuff. I recently deleted the game for space reasons, but will hopefully re-download to play again.
Played this after FO4 and was pleasantly surprised. Despite being an older game, it's aged pretty well. The graphics are different, but they look good. There was lot of things FO4 didn't have that I learned in this game. I did mod the game but only for bug fixes. I haven't finished the main story yet, but plan to go back eventually. I want to make another character to try out things I didn't do/missed.
There are definitly a lot of bugs in the game, but the story and open world makes it fun. I played this after FO4 and FNV. There are a lot of modding guides out there to help with the bugs and overhaul some quests or designs. It was a learning curve to figure out the gameplay coming from a more recent fallout title, but nothing unbareable.
I enjoy the game and find it fun. The story may not be as good as FO3 or FNV, but it's still enjoyable. Also as someone who lives in Boston, it's interesting to see it done in game. I haven't finished the main story since I tend wander off, but I don't mind. Haven't had any issues with loading the game or playing. I use mods now, so it definitely makes a difference compared to vanilla. But vanilla isn't bad and is playable.
