I preferred this game over the other new isometric RPG's (Wasteland 2, Pillars of Eternity and Torment: Tides of Numenera(I haven't played Original Sin games)). It stinks that they never finished the game properly but still, it engaging and imaginative world and story. Reminds me of the ancient Greece stand against the Persian empire (just as dark and mean).

Once the wow factor leaves the game turns quite shallow. You start out being blown away by the lovely graphics (for the time) and the expansive world and though it has some great side quests, the main story line is just way too much of the same thing over and over and it is just boring. I wasn't bothered in trying any of the mods because frankly, I was sick of the world by then.

To much shooting and not enough choices like the original. Fallout 1&2 were real RPG's and the best RPG's at that but this is just a shooter with RPG elements. At the same time, the graphics were fantastic, the atmosphere was Fallout, some of the side stories were good (huge world) and it was addictive at times. But then, the main story was really bad, the graphics wear off and the world just gets too big. This game started to get to me too. It started to get absurd the amount of people you have too mindlessly shoot and I was getting disgusted by it. I liked how you could go through Fallout 1&2, trying not to kill as many people as you can but you have to shoot everyone in this game (it is very realistic killing too). I had to force myself to finish this game, I wasn't satisfied by the the ending, and I was disgusted at myself for playing it (OK, it really got to me.. the mindless killing).

I like the story (I think I got the story), I like the atmosphere, the art was fantastic (best part of the game, could see odd to Amanita at times (specially the rat hole)), the puzzles were a good challenge but not too hard (at least to me), had the Haruki Murakami feel to it(I've only read one of his books , Norwegian Wood of course) but I still felt that the game was lacking in places. I wanted more character development for some of the main characters and other minor characters didn't feel like they belonged there (or really, they could have been cut out to give main characters more time). Though I felt that there was some logic towards the puzzles, I could see many people getting frustrated by them (I guess I just click with the world and they made sense to me). Maybe I read to much in the story than there is but I felt the story to be as much as a puzzle as the game itself. I will be playing again just to go through the story again. The game had enough of that Surreal feel that I like and I hope the makes learn a lot from this game and make an even better game next time.
