Zug Zug

Almost 170 hours in at this point, and no sign of stopping. I love playing through all the campaigns, and this PC Port has all the bells and whistles. Everything from the original release and expansion packs are both here, and then some!

Resident Evil Bundle

"This case was just too weird!"

Please note: this review is only for RE1 at the moment, because that's all that is out from the bundle. However, I fully expect that it will stand for RE2 and RE3 when they're released. It was quite a fun suprise to see this pop up on GOG, and I couldn't purchase and install it fast enough! I've already played through RE1 six times (each character just for fun, each character to get the special weapon unlock, and each character with the special weapon and costume), and would gladly play through more if achievements were added here. It was amazing nostalgia, so much fun! I haven't added the HD pack patch -- it would be great if GOG could add that in as an option on the main screen somehow. I understand that some people on here have had some issues with getting the game to work, or streaming FMV scenes, among other things, but I never had any issues with any of it.

80 Days

80 Days? Only took me about 5 hours!

I'd seen this game, based on Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne, for a while on this site, and finally went for it when it was half off during the recent Fall Sale. The game doesn't have CGI graphics or an orchestral score, but I'd posit that they're not needed here. The charm of 80 Days lies in its story, and the relationship between the two main characters. The choices are all yours to make: what cities to visit, how to travel, what to buy and sell to manage your money on your journey, how to interact with the hundreds of people you meet on your journey, and how to best manage your time. If you're a fan of choose-your-own-adventure books, geography, or text-based PC games, this might just be your cup of darjeeling.
