The words "turn-based combat" kinda lured me in. But the combat is really just a single ship hurrying around a 2d field with many bad guys chasing you. It is true that you stop and plot your move and your shots, pulse by pulse. And it is also true that there's a lot of complexity built into the mix of weapons, power distribution, bad guys' weapons/weapon ranges, bad guys' weaknesses (rock/paper/scissors vs. your weapons). But still it's basically pac-man. And that aspect of the game comes up a lot. I'm a bit disappointed.
