I was quite excited to try this. It seemed to have a very unique and interesting setting. However, just a few hours in and I lost all interest. I tried forcing myself to play this a few times, but each time I enjoyed it even less. I think it had great potential, with a nostalgia invoking atmosphere, but the pacing and controls just didn't work for me. I had some troubles with controller too, never managed to get it to work properly. Considering the high rating for this game, it's probably a good game for the right audience, but that was not me.
I don't play lot's of shooter, but I loved this. The really awesome and "fresh" mechs with a nice story/worldbuilding is enough to recommend it. The visuals and music are an added bonus. The game is a bit buggy though, spent about 2 hours fixing on of the bug. Also, the game can be really tough at times, specially for someone who doesn't play shooter much, however at least they provide assist mode for such times.
