because while this is much more streamlined, it feels like it has lost a lot of character in the prozess. While I'm sure that some like this better, for me everything just feels a little bit of. But if you never played the beta this is probably irrelevant to you.
Fun platforming, incredible visuals and a story that merges gameplay with writing that made me both laugh and cry. But there are two things I have to warn about: 1. I have seen some people complain about the writing being confusing and that there is too much talking going on in this game. While I don't think that this is true, I do think that this game requieres at least some attention, media litteracy as well as basic media analysis skills to be fully enjoyed. TL;DR: If you know what the word metaphor means and think that you could spot one, you're good to go. 2. Some of THE GAMERS™ might have a problem, because this game contains women in positions of power as well as sexual and racial minorities. This shouldn't really be a surprise, Psychonauts 1 already featured two of these three categories and, frankly, you shouldn't be surprised that games with a nuanced take on mental illness would also lean progressive in other areas of their writing. If both of these points aren't an issue for you, than you should really play this game. At 15 to 20 hours of gameplay, Psychonauts 2 doesen't overstay its welcome while managing to justify its full price through the quality and artistry put on display.
