Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers

Interesting but too short

This game has potential. It could be great. But it sets itself up as a wannabe platform game then refuses to deliver the goods. The music is wonderful.... At first. But when you start playing getting cassettes is just not enough to keep things interesting. I found myself turning off the sound to listen to pandora or youtube in the background. The controls are a bit clunky and performance kinda sucks. I am running an i7 and sli with 16gb ram. And it feels like I can barely run the game. If you want to play a game that is different. This is it. But it is more of a mini-game. Don't expect to be satisfied for a long period of time. Definitely not worth the $10 it is right now. I got it in a sale so it was worth it.

Wonderful

When I play adventure games I look forward to retro visuals, unique character, amazing narratives and wonderful voice actors. The game falls short on the story at the end but it is just beautiful as a game. This game is wonderful. It has great visuals, though they are very "brown" and for me... The best part is wonderful voiced narratives. In adventure games you can sometimes get stale voice actors. An example being A New Beginning. That was a game that would have been absolutely SUPERB but they fell short on 2/3 of their voice overs. This game is not one that falls short. To me this comes close or is even on par with Bastion. Seriously the actors make this game go the extra mile. I think everyone who is a fan of adventure games should give this a shot. I thought it was wonderful. Well worth my money.
